On July 1st, 2024, the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Gymnasium witnessed a gathering of passionate young minds at the YOUTH LEADS: Advancing Towards a Three-Zero Future event. This groundbreaking event marked a significant milestone, coinciding with the official launch of 3ZERO Clubs across Negros Occidental.

The event served as a vibrant platform for young people dedicated to creating a world of three zeros—zero net carbon emissions, zero wealth concentration to end poverty, and zero unemployment by unleashing entrepreneurship in all. It was a space for them to come together, share ideas, and network.

The program was designed to foster innovation and sustainable community development. The 2006 Nobel Peace Laureate and Chief Advisor of 3Z Global Centre, Professor Muhammad Yunus, inspired the youth and empowered them to create a world of three zeros. The CEO of 3Z Global Centre, Shazeeb M Khairul Islam, shared insights about the initiative and the importance of the platform. 

A dynamic panel discussion was arranged where 3ZERO Club members and youth changemakers in the Philippines interacted with Professor Muhammad Yunus. Participants included Md Ar Rafiu Shajeb, Key Person of Club ID: 608-1031-001, Janine Rachel, Deputy Key Person of Club ID: 608-019-002, Erian Villaflores, Deputy Key Person of Club ID: 608-110-001, and Dustin Veridiano from UNORSSG. The discussion provided valuable insights and sparked engaging dialogue on critical issues. 

The positive power of youth-led initiatives was showcased through presentations by our 3ZERO Club members in Negros Occidental. Witnessing these tangible examples undoubtedly inspired attendees and fueled their ambitions. The event culminated in the official inauguration of the new 3ZERO Clubs, further expanding the network of empowered young leaders committed to positive change.
